News§ow.au Cup: beastrn on top

Who would have thought that?
The aussies managed to get 16players signing up for the News§ow.au Cup.

The two highest seeded players, (#1) jamflange and (#2) beastrn from clan ZR (Zero Remorse) proved their mad skills and battled their way through.

The first time they met in the WB Final where beastrn won an exciting match 2-1.
jamflange met [9]neon in the consolation final and defeated him 2-0.

So it was again beastrn vs. jamflange, now in the grand final!
Coming from the Loser Bracket jamflange managed to take the first bo3 quite easily 2-0.

2nd best-of-3:
beastrn won wdm5, and jamflange took wdm14.
Now both players at the top of their game.
last map was wdm2, which beastrn won!

News§ow Cup #1: Australia

Start your engines ladies and gentlemen!

This sunday, the first Australian Cup 2008 is going to take place here at News§ow.
Everyone in the country of ridiculously hot Christmas weather is very excited to be able to compete in the Cup and sound like they’re ready to prove that they’ve got what it takes to impress warsowians all over the world.

So beginning 6pm Sunday, the Cup will be underway, giving one lucky Aussie the chance to be the first Warsow Cup Australia 2008 winner, and most likely, at least in Australia, the final Warsow 0.3 Comp winner, too.

Remember, sign ups begin at 1pm Sunday!

BoBel aka Mr-First-Cup-Winner-2008

Once again BoBel proved his damn skillz.
He just walked over everyone in the News§ow cup and took gold.

Only loosing one map in the LB Semi Final against PiC|Scoobz0r the german had no mercy with his opponents.
After winning the WB Final against xlo^Hyrveli he met PiC|Scoobz0r again in the overall final.

Yes, you heard right.

This sunday the first cup 2008 is going to take place here at News§ow.
We’re going to host this cup all over the continent, for the Australians, the Americans and of course for the Europeans.

First up on Sunday will be the European Cup, where 32 (or 16, depends on the interest) players have the chance to get the title and call themselves

Why are we better than warsownews?

You may think ‘what’s up with that cocky topic?’, but I just want to take a look and answer the question, what makes you better than warsownews/what does your site offer that warsownews doesn’t?

First off all, my intention in doing this newsblog is, to bring warsow forward, keep you up-2-date.
From what I’ve seen the past months warsownews’ do only cup-coverage.

We, News§ow want to do more. Things like, what’s currently discussed in the warsow community, what’s happening with the game, for example blog reports, every little programm someone releases, some interviews maybe.
I can hardly explain the things we want to do, but it’s planned to be bigger, and more up to date than warsownews.

One more personal thing I want to add. I’ve nothing against soh-lokirulez. We’ve done much together in the past times, like bamboocha.
I just want to help warsow and it’s community.

If you have any questions, anything you’d like to get answered, please write a comment.
In a news later on we gonna answer these.
